10:30 AM Ride Start from Sundance Cycles, LLC
From the shop left on to Kanan and an easy climb to a right on Westlake Blvd. Left on Avenida de los Arboles and REGROUP. Right on Erbes, left on Pederson to a left on Olsen, right on to N Moorpark Rd. After a rolling REGROUP (if needed), carefully descend Norwegian Grade, right on to Moorpark Rd. to a left on Tierra Rejada, right on Spring Rd, cross the 118 and REGROUP. Continue into the new development straight on Spring Rd. This will connect to a hard right on Walnut Cyn Rd (23). REGROUP where Walnut Canyon Rd meets Broadway. Ride Broadway to a right on Stockton, right onto Balcom Canyon Rd and look for the Sundance and Amgen cycling banners at the top of the hill. -
Look for the Sundance Canopy and wait for the PROs to amaze us. The vantage point at the top of Balcom affords a view of the whole climb, come watch the suffering from bottom to top. The stage starts at 11 AM in Santa Barbara. The estimated arrival at Balcom canyon road is between 12:45 PM and 1:30 PM based on 24-28 mph speeds during the stage. The goal is to be at Balcom at least 45 minutes before the PROs and before the roads are closed to riders.
In your post bike race blitz down Balcom to a right on Bradley Rd don’t forget to REGROUP at the 118 and Bradley Rd. CAREFULLY turn left on the 118 to
Left on the 118, right on North, right on Somis Rd. Left on Upland, left on Santa Rosa Rd, up Norwegian Grade, REGROUP at the YMCA. Moorpark Rd. to Las Flores, left on Las Flores, right on Erbes, left on Hillcrest, right on Old Conejo School Rd, around behind K-mart. Right on Hampshire Rd/Agoura Rd and back to Sundance Cycles.
