About Sundance Cycles

At Sundance Cycles our goal is to make it easy for people to enjoy and benefit from cycling. The best bicycles are the ones that are ridden and enjoyed. We work with suppliers that are as passionate about their product as you are about cycling; likewise we bring passion to the process of building your dream bike. Sundance offers a range of models to choose from and helps you through your decision making process, always respecting your needs and budget.

Sundance Cycles is only as good as the people who work for us. Everyone at Sundance is an avid cyclist. Want proof? Just catch any one of the staff on a lunch break and you will see them reading VeloNews or Mountain Bike Action or skipping lunch to work on their own bikes. That’s the mark of a true bike nut. In the end your satisfaction does not come from how big the store or how low the price. It comes from people who care and will bend over backwards to make certain you are happy, now and down the road.

Ashton JohnsonAshton “AJ” Johnson
Owner of Sundance Cycles, AJ has owned his own shop for twenty five years, raced mountain, road and track and was an alternate on the US National team. His passion for bicycles was an odd conversion from racing and being obsessed with motorcycles to falling head over heels for the bicycle while still in college. His first race was a local club time trial which he showed up for in sneakers, gym shorts and a t-shirt. He was the minute man for the club 'Fast Guy' that day and held off Mr. Fast Guy until after the turn around. As Mr. Fast Guy's passed AJ the pace didn't seem so awful so AJ repassed him at which point Mr. Fast Guy told AJ, with a straight face mind you, the caught riders were not allowed to repass. It was a joke of course and Mr. Fast Guy never dreamt that AJ would believe him but AJ dutifully stayed behind Mr. Fast Guy the rest of the race. His club mates have never let him forget this. By next week's T.T. AJ showed up in real cycling clothing (wool of course), cleated shoes (nailed on cleats of course), and a helmet (leather hair-net of course). That first T.T. was the last one AJ lost that season and he clearly had a bad case of the 'Cycling Bug'. The cycling life style and cycling community are a major part of AJ's life and he wants you to join the fun and experience the greatest sport on earth. He's not just selling bicycles he's selling bicycling as well.

AJ has been a certified USCF coach, has completed the Serotta Elements and Advanced Fitting Programs and has performed thousands of fittings for our customers.
